Magnesium sulfate is a magnesium salt with sulfate as the counter ion. It has the role of anticonvulsant, cardiovascular drug, calcium channel blocker, anesthetic, tocolytic agent, anti-arrhythmia drug, analgesic and fertilizer. It is magnesium salt and metal sulfate.
