Lithium hydroxide is an alkali metal hydroxide. This substance appears as a clear to water-white liquid whose solution may have a pungent odour. Contact may cause severe irritation to skin, eyes and mucous membranes. May be toxic by ingestion, inhalation and skin absorption. It is used to make other chemicals.
