Glass powder is obtained by grinding the waste glass into powder in mills. This powder is sieved in sieves and made ready for use. Glass powder is another name for the chemical compound composed of silicon dioxide, silicon and oxygen. c-Silica compounds (quartz) have structures with repeating patterns of silicon and oxygen. All forms of silica are odorless solids composed of silicon and oxygen atoms. Silica particles remain suspended in the air and form non-explosive dust. Silica can combine with other metallic elements and oxides to form silicates
