It is a compound consisting of tetraboric acid and sodium components.
Sodium tetraborate can be used as a cocatalyst for the oxidation of
alcohols to their corresponding carbonyl compounds in greener
non-chlorine solvents in the presence of NaOCl. It is also used as a
structure-directing agent and a catalyst in the preparation of carbon
aerogels using glucose as the carbon precursor.

laboratory equipment, laundry and dishware.
