Barium sulfate is the sulfate salt of barium, an alkali, divalent metal. Almost insoluble in water at room temperature, mostly used as an ingredient in oil well drilling fluid, it occurs naturally as the mineral barite.

» It is widely used in coating products, inks, toners, polymers, cosmetics and personal care products.
» Used in machine wash liquids/detergents, automotive care products, paints, coatings, adhesives, fragrances and air fresheners.
» Print and recorded media are used in reproduction, construction and civil works.
