Ammonia is an inorganic compound consisting of a single nitrogen atom covalently bonded to three hydrogen atoms, an amidase inhibitor and neurotoxin. Ammonia occurs naturally and is produced by human activities. It is an important source of nitrogen that plants and animals need. Bacteria in the intestines can produce ammonia.
