Aluminum hydroxide is an inorganic salt used as an antacid. Aluminum hydroxide is an inorganic compound widely used as an additive in electronic and polymeric applications due to its wide availability, corrosion resistance, light weightlessness, high melting point, good fire retardant properties, as well as its ability to release water of hydration at high temperatures.

» It is widely used in products such as cosmetics and personal care products, coatings, inks and toners, fillers, putties, plasters, modeling clay, medicines, washing and cleaning products, adhesives and sealants, lubricants, greases, polishes and wax.
» This substance can be found in the following items: electric batteries and accumulators, vehicles and machinery, mechanical devices and electrical/electronic products (e.g. computers, cameras, lamps, refrigerators, washing machines).
» Paper (e.g. wipes, feminine hygiene products, diapers, books, magazines, wallpapers), fabrics, textiles and clothing (e.g. clothes, mattresses, curtains or carpets, textile toys), rubber (e.g. tyres, shoes, toys)) and leather (e.g. gloves, shoes, wallets, furniture) are used in the manufacture of products.
