Acetic acid is a simple monocarboxylic acid containing two carbons. Approved in the EEA and/or Switzerland for use in biocidal products more suitable for the environment, human or animal health. It is an approved food additive.
Application
» Coating products, washing and cleaning products, air care products, lubricants and greases, fillers, putties, plasters, modeling clay, antifreeze products, fertilizers, plant protection products, finger paints, biocides (e.g.disinfectants, pest control products), welding and acetic acid is widely used in soldering products and textile processing products and paints.
» It is also used in laboratory chemicals, pH regulators and water treatment products, water treatment chemicals, plant protection products, washing and cleaning products, coating products and fertilizers.
» It is used in perfumes and fragrances, textile processing products and dyes, paper chemicals, dyes and polymers.
» The release of this substance into the environment can occur from industrial use: manufacture of the substance, in industrial plant processing aids, as an intermediate step in the further manufacture of another substance, formulation of mixtures, formulation in materials, processing aid, for the production of thermoplastics, as processing aid.
